Full Moon Resort
As Bar Manager at Full Moon Resort, Maxwell leads the bar department, overseeing both FOH & BOH bar operations. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Private event bartending & management (Anywhere from 10-300+ guests)
- Directing beverage program, including house menu development & seasonal specials
- Overseeing bar set-up, closing, and ensuring bar health code requirements per NY state law
- Handling POS systems, cash handling & management, and drink tabulation with accuracy
- Managing inventory; including wine, beer, liquor, mixers, glassware, garnish fruit, and more
- Coordinating wholesale ordering & communication with liquor, beer, and wine distributors
- Developing and maintaining bar menus/website content, ensuring alignment with the brand
- Cultivating and managing relationships with private event guests, clients, and vendors
- Managing up to 4 different bar service locations daily, across multi-day event productions
- Coordinating & communicating with GM, EM, Service, Maintenance, & Kitchen departments
- Leading and training a full-time/part time bar staff for bar service
As a high volume bar manager, I strive to find the fine line between quality, cost effectiveness, and speed to deliver an efficient yet thoughtfully curated experience for any size event.
